eMail from Winston (17/6/2013) stating "We were both enjoying a caravan trip in remote areas of Far North Queensland, en route to a family reunion in Cairns. Ruth was mildly unwell earlier in the day and we made the decision to continue to the little town of Normanton rather than free camp beside a river. We were not yet within phone range of Normanton when Ruth spoke of chest pain and within about 2 minutes she was with the Lord."

Ruth was born on December 29th, 1941. She died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 71 on June 11th, 2013 in Queensland, Australia.2
