UK Births, Deaths & Marriages
Every birth, adoption, marriage, civil partnership or death registered in England or Wales (1837-1992) has a General Register Office (GRO) index reference number. It usually consists of the year, volume number, page number and district in which the event was registered.

      Note: results are grouped by yearly quarters ie Q1 to Q4. Results are JUST enteries of registrations in the GRO index - no details. Best results if you know the District in question (ie Linton and not Sawston).
      Great for finding marriages (since partners are always on same page - same GRO index)
