Family Record - Cynthia Noela Breusch

Hello Heidi & Nial

Thanks for making the alterations I requested regarding the Family Tree info.  However while I see my date of birth has been removed it's remains in 'Other Attributes' via 'Personal Timeline' & 'Individual Additional Information'.  I'm sure this is an oversight but could you delete it please.  I don't want my DOB to appear anywhere (the year is fine).

On Mum's page, her year of death has been corrected but Death Notes say 'KLB research shows date as 1989 yet both Rose & Cynthia state it to be 1988'.  I don't know what the 'KLB research' is but it's just wrong so 'Death Notes' perpetuates an error.  More disturbingly it gives an impression there is some doubt or dispute about the year which there isn't, nor has there ever been.  If there is any error on any paper it would be a typo or in some other way unintentional.  We know when Mum died because we were present as a family when her death took place. The death certificate will verify it but our living memory as a family is correct.  While I'm positive it's not intentional, it's very distressing to have the year wrongly attributed at all.   Could you please delete the Death Notes.

I can contribute the following info:

Ken Breusch -  Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Economics) from the University of Qld. He also had a Diploma in Insurance Law.

Noela Kennett:
Mum was educated at Somerville House, Brisbane.
Her occupation is stated as pianist and artist.  While an accomplished pianist in earlier years it was not an occupation.
Mum's occupation was hairdresser, and later artist.
After training & working as a hairdresser she opened her own salon, the Clayfield Beauty Salon, which she owned and operated in 1944 & 1945 in Clayfield, Brisbane.
She studied art under Melville Haysom and David Fowler in Brisbane, and later Nancy Curtis of the Royal Art Society, Broadbeach, Gold Coast & exhibited through the Queensland Room of MacDonald & East, the Redcliffe Art Society and numerous private galleries.

Arthur Hargreaves was a music teacher and between WWI & WWII owned a musical instrument repair business behind City Hall in Ann St, Brisbane.  (He was also known as a popular mechanics & science fiction enthusiast.)
While his wife's name is not known (she was only ever referred to as 'Nan' by Mum & Dad so unfortunately we don't know her name)
we know she was a dressmaker/seamstress & was skilled at buying & selling property. She lived on the beachfront at Scarborough Qld until selling during WWII.   She died when Mum was 13.   [She was much beloved by Mum]

Poppoea Corralea Hargreaves :  Corralie should be spelt Corralea.   She was born in April 1903 & died in July 1963.
Her occupation was pianist for silent movies & the Lux Theatre Plays, in Brisbane.
Poppoea was not an only child - she had 2 brothers. They are :-
Les (probably short for Lesley), born in 1897.  He was a businessman & tobacco agent in Melbourne.
Vivien ('Viv') was born in 1900.  He was a wool classer. Later he worked in his father Arthur Hargreaves' musical instrument repair business in Ann St, Brisbane, in the early 1940's. (He also played the cello & double bass, and was an inventor.)

The above info was known to us or comes from written notes I made while Mum & Dad recounted family history one Sunday lunch in 1988.

cheers for now,
Cynthia
