Hannah was born in 1714 and her baptism took place on February 16th, 1714 in Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, England.1  Hannah's father was James Barker and her mother was Margaret Newton.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Barker and Mary Baker; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Newton and Margaret Patch. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Thomas, Mary, Ann and Anne.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.
