The Poll for "Two Knights of the Shire" for the County of Cambridge, which commenced at Cambridge on Tuesday 10th and closed on Saturday 14th of August 1830 showed:
William Barker was a Freeholder of a C & L (Cottage and Land) in Castle Camps (Chilford Hundred) and thus eligible to vote. The occupier of that Freehold was a certain John Webb (his son by his second wife). The place of residence of the Freeholder was given as Littleburry. William's eldest son (William) incidently now lives there with his family.

What is fascinating is that the census return lists William's 'Residence' as Moats, Castle Camps, Linton, Cambridgeshire, England. The former Castle (now manor house) is the only place around that has an old moat (The National Gazetteer of 1868 states "The moat still exists, and some small portions of the building, which are attached to a farmhouse."). Guess he lived here?
