Niels' father was Poul Ludwigsen Breusch and his mother is <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Christian Ludvig Breusch and Bodil Hansdatter. He had three brothers named Ludvig, Jens and Christian.  He died in 1927 in Monteville, Queensland, Australia.²

  Jens wrote in 1927 to brother Ludvig, stating that Niels had died suddenly at age 68!
