James Nathaniel Crisp

James was born on May 28th, 1844 and his christening took place in St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, England.¹   James' father was James Lewis Crisp and his mother was Mary Ann Tigwell.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Crisp and Ann. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George, Harry, Alfred, Marian, Charlote, Alice and Florence.  He was the oldest of the eight children.
