James' father was James Benjamin Park and his mother was Hannah Tattan.  His maternal grandparents were Joshua Tatton and Hannah Bowen. He had two brothers named Alexander and Joshua.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 92 on December 13th, 1972 in Charleville, Queensland, Australia.  He was buried at the Charleville Cemetery, Charleville, Queensland, Australia.^2 1
