Helen, known as Peggy, was born on August 25th, 1897 in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire, England. Peggy's father was William Pollendine and her mother was Ellen Steed.  Her paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Polendine and Hannah Adams; her maternal grandparents were John Pithes Steed and Charlotte Haward. She had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Arthur, Jeremiah, Orble, Ethel, Eveline, Winifred and Pollendine.  She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 83 on July 30th, 1981 in Faversham, Kent, England.  She was cremated in Charing, Kent, England.1 1
