Ann's father was Joseph Stone and her mother was Betty Reed.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Reed and Hannah. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Jonas, Samuel, Joseph, Mary and Jenny.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
