Still seems to be alive in 1953 (as he is made reference to in "letter - annielstaier") ie at least 79 years old.
Fraser Coast Chronicle (Hervey Bay), published a death notice on the 14MAR1960, saying he died at Base Hospital, Maryborough, yesterday the 13th.
The same paper published his funeral notice the next day on the 15 March 1960.
