Regina was born on March 4th, 1887 on Baldhill Farm, Grahams Creek, Maryborough, Queensland, Australia and her christening took place on April 9th, 1887 in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia conducted by Pastor Copas.1   Her godfather was Jakob Fuchs and her godmother was Maria Zoller. Regina's father was Karl Friedrich Staier and her mother was Ernestine Beier.  Her paternal grandparents were Konrad Johann Staier and Dorothea Christina Schwarz; her maternal grandparents were August Heinrich Trangott Beier and Johanna Carolina Wittig. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Carl, Friedrich, August, Willie, Friedrich, Edward, Franz, Amelia, Bertha, Margaretha and Anna.  She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She had a half-brother named George.  She died at the age of 87 on May 26th, 1974.2
