James Barker

James was born in 1787 in Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, England and his baptism took place there on February 18th, 1787.^1 2

James' father was William Barker and his mother was Alice Ruse.  His maternal grandparents were William Ruse and Ann Stubbing. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Robert, Joseph, Benjamin, John, Stephen, Charlotte and Alice.  He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named John.  He died at the age of 25 in 1812.  He was buried on January 6th, 1812 in Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, England.²
