John Barker

John was born in 1798 in Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, England and his baptism took place there on March 25th, 1798.^1 2

John's father was William Barker and his mother was Alice Ruse.  His maternal grandparents were William Ruse and Ann Stubbing. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Robert, Joseph, Benjamin, Stephen, Charlotte and Alice.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named John.
